Festival Sabor Peruano! On the 28th of July, the Peruvian Independence Day,  we celebrated our 2nd annual Festival Sabor Peruano (Peruvian Flavor) & it was a success!  Some estimated that from the beginning to end, over 300 people stopped by!

Joshua & I after coming down the big slideWe had the big inflatable slide (which is always a hit with the kiddos) and also other games where the kids could win prizes.

Picarones - the Peruvian Donut! We also offered a variety of food that was delicious as always!

Some ladies being blessed with clothingThis year, we also passed out clothing to help those in the community (with a BIG thank you going to Grace Community Bible Church and all the donation they brought) & offered free dental checkups & cleanings.

Festival Sabor Peruano - Kids ShowWe also had live Peruvian music & of course a show for the kids.

And of course, we presented the gospel – the reason for it all.  Many seeds were planted that day!  We had a great time!

Some of the group having a good time with the kidsGrace Community Bible Church stormed onto Peruvian soil the 23rd of July and they hit the ground running!  Led by Pastor Tony Plummer & an amazing leadership team, these Floridians we armed an ready for battle.  From day 1 they were out in the towns preaching the good news of the One who sent them on this mission.

Yeah Yeah YeahAnd they did it all:  from open air evangelism to visiting a home for women battling addictions to cleaning/painting/building to performing at our Festival!  And what a blessing they were!

Ministering in the market in PiscoThey also traveled to the city of Pisco, a city hit by a 7.9 earthquake almost 2 years ago.  In one day of ministry, over 250 people saw their drama – Cry Out to Jesus. Wow!

Just sit right back & you'll hear a tale..Of course we had some fun as well!

Touching hearts, changing livesBut when it was all said & done, over 800 people saw their drama & many of them prayed the prayer of salvation.  Great job guys!  Thank you Pastor Tony & the entire GCBC team!!
