How far am I willing to go?

Overflow

I was just thinking something the other day.. How far am I willing to go for Him?  I’m not talking about distance wise.  You can go half way around the world & still do nothing for him.  You can be comfortable, don’t push yourself, relax… and just be mediocre.  But is that really what we’ve been created to do?  No way.

The Bible says that Jesus came to give us life, and life more abundantly (John 10:10).  The Amplified Bible says – I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).  That’s who our God is.  He pours.. and we’re full… and He just keeps on pouring … but God, I can’t take anymore… and He keeps on pouring…Why?  TO GIVE IT AWAY.  Now I’m not talking about financial abundance, but trust me, I believe that’s part of it.  I’m talking about living life to the fullest in Him, stretching ourselves so far past our comfort zone.  But why?  For the lost, for the hurting, for the needy.  He gives so we can give!

How far are you willing to go?

We’ll see YOU in Ohio!

Festival Sabor Peruano! On the 28th of July, the Peruvian Independence Day,  we celebrated our 2nd annual Festival Sabor Peruano (Peruvian Flavor) & it was a success!  Some estimated that from the beginning to end, over 300 people stopped by!

Joshua & I after coming down the big slideWe had the big inflatable slide (which is always a hit with the kiddos) and also other games where the kids could win prizes.

Picarones - the Peruvian Donut! We also offered a variety of food that was delicious as always!

Some ladies being blessed with clothingThis year, we also passed out clothing to help those in the community (with a BIG thank you going to Grace Community Bible Church and all the donation they brought) & offered free dental checkups & cleanings.

Festival Sabor Peruano - Kids ShowWe also had live Peruvian music & of course a show for the kids.

And of course, we presented the gospel – the reason for it all.  Many seeds were planted that day!  We had a great time!
