Grace Community Bible Church: Mission Completed

Paul & the GCBC Missionary Gang

Paul & the GCBC Missionary Gang

What an incredible 8 days we had with GCBC (Grace Believers) here in Lima and in Pisco Peru. This team of 19 came ready to serve and be a blessing wherever they went! With the help of the Gideons, we were able to give out around 2000 New Testament Bibles and over 2200 people were touched through their time here, whether it was seeing their drama, sharing a testimony, or putting a Bible in a hand. We were able to pray with so many kids. It was amazing! A state run orphanage, 6 public schools, churches, a children hospital… they went everywhere! And if they didn’t have a Bible in their hand, they had a paintbrush! They helped at our camp & also painted a church and preschool in Pisco, Peru. I think we can easily say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thank you once again for coming to serve and be a blessing to many!

A Visit from Scott & Zach

Scott & Zach

At the end of May (I know I’m waay behind), my nephew Scott Bowers & his buddy Zach Gibson came down for a two week visit. They wanted to serve & help out in any way they could & also see some sights while here in Peru. What a blessing they were to us and to Hearts in Action Peru! They were willing to do whatever & did it with a servants heart. Thank you both for coming down and being a blessing to Peru! And thank you Zach for some great pictures!

With many visitors in attendance, Hearts in Action Peru celebrated Mother’s Day with a message dedicated and devoted to mom. But that’s not all. There were also gifts, food, roses, prizes and even poems. What a way to celebrate the most incredible woman on the planet – Mom!

The Word of God tells us that what we sow is what we’ll reap. Well this Saturday, some students and faculty of the International Christian School of Lima sowed their time and talent into Hearts in Action Peru. Washing and painting rocks, painting the gate, planting flowers and other plants, and painting some kids faces – and they did it all with smiles on their faces. 🙂 You might see it as a little bit of physical labor, but we see it as sowing into the lives of children! Thank you!
